Slain Security Guard’s 5-Year-Old Son Sworn In As Honorary Harvey Cop

CBS is reporting the son of slain Security Officer Tyrone Hardin, Tyrone Jr, was sworn in as an honorary Harvey Police Officer.

“Officer Hardin will be placed in the patrol division, and go on active duty,” Harvey Police Chief Denard Eaves said.

Tyrone's father was brutally gunned down on November 26 while working as a security guard.  The suspected gunman, Rashad Williams is also accused of stealing Hardin's truck in an attempt to evade pursuit.  Williams was arrested on December 4th and is being held without bail, charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and vehicle hijacking
