Elite Security Services once again under fire for alleged sexual conduct by an employee

While most of us are looking forward to a better year in 2017 there are some that wish 2016 never happened.

I am referring to the people who run Elite Security Services who only days after one of their own is caught on camera masturbating in front of thousands of NFL fans, is once again under a microscope.

This time they are facing a lawsuit which alleges that one of their officers groped a customer while being screened for a rock concert.

It was at the October 2 performance of Alice in Chains held at the Symphony Towers were a female guard was frisking incoming customers.  One of those, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, alleges that the officer reached under her sweater and put a hand on her breasts without warning or permission.

The officer was then heard to announce that she was not wearing a bra.  When the woman looked to her fiance the guard said "Oh, is that your husband?  Yeah, the husbands like to watch when I do this."

The accused is only listed as Jane Doe and neither news outlet, the San Diego Union-Tribune or ABC Channel 10 are releasing the name of the plaintiff at her attorney's request.

Police: Teen arrested after sexually assaulting woman at hotel, kidnapping security guard | Fox 59

Fox Channel 59 is reporting that an Indianapolis teenager is in jail for a string of violent crimes.

The Suburban Extended Stay hotel near 1-465 was the scene were a woman was violently attacked by a young man she has invited to her hotel room.  The attack continued as he sexually assaulted her inside her own room.

A female security guard investigating the matter was backed down at gun point and forced to held the gunman flee with her driving her own stolen car.

IMPD officers spotted the car and took the suspect into custody, releasing his captive unharmed.

The 16 year old suspect is facing several serious charges including kidnapping, rape and weapons related charges.

Slain Security Guard’s 5-Year-Old Son Sworn In As Honorary Harvey Cop

CBS is reporting the son of slain Security Officer Tyrone Hardin, Tyrone Jr, was sworn in as an honorary Harvey Police Officer.

“Officer Hardin will be placed in the patrol division, and go on active duty,” Harvey Police Chief Denard Eaves said.

Tyrone's father was brutally gunned down on November 26 while working as a security guard.  The suspected gunman, Rashad Williams is also accused of stealing Hardin's truck in an attempt to evade pursuit.  Williams was arrested on December 4th and is being held without bail, charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and vehicle hijacking

City Attorney to review Chargers security guard masturbating case

In a bold move the San Diego City Attorney takes the matter into his own hands....get's a handle.....I mean...decides to review the case of the Elite Security Guard accused of public masturbation or unnecessary roughness.

This was all uncovered when a video (see below) of the alleged guard began appearing all over social media.  Elite Security published an  apology for the alleged flogging and fired the accused flogger.  Of course they also took the position that there was no way they could know that any employee of theirs would decide to "play a round of pocket pool" during an NFL game while standing mere feet from a squad of San Diego Charger Cheerleaders.

Gerry Braun with the City Attorney's Office said they will look into the matter and decide if he should be charged with a crime.

Of course the Chargers management is not commenting on whether this incident has anything to do with their decision to leave San Diego.

Malls Across U.S. Beef Up Security After Brawls - WSJ

Malls Across U.S. Beef Up Security After Brawls - WSJ

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that shopping malls across the country are taking additional security precautions after a string of disturbances on the day after Christmas (aka Boxing Day) that resulted in minor injuries, evacuations, a score of arrests and tightened sphincters.

As previously reported on Security Guard News and Information, dozens of towns reported group fights breaking out at malls in various cities to include reports of shots being fired.

Some of these incidents, it is believed, were sparked by the use of "social media" promising "flash fights" which drew anxious crowds of wannabe onlookers.

In the end there were some arrests and some injuries but no acts of terrorism.

Security guard wheelchair-bound after shooting, family struggling

A metro Atlanta family is in need of help after a father survived a brutal attack while on the job in September.

Police said on September 1, William Hudson, 46, was shot at 14 times while working as a security guard at the Norcross Extended Stay Motel.

Based on witness accounts, Gwinnett investigators immediately identified Xavier Geder as the gunman. He eluded law officers for weeks, but Gwinnett Deputy D. Crea tracked him down in Sumter County and informed the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Macon. Marshals arrested Geder near Plains, Georgia in October.

Following the shooting, Hudson was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He survived the attack, but spent nearly 100 days in the hospital and is now confined to a wheelchair.

Tuesday, FOX 5's Patty Pan caught up with Hudson and his wife, Michelle Rucker.

At the time of the shooting, the company Hudson was working for didn't offer health insurance, so his family has been struggling financially. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help them pay their bills. If you would like to donate, click here.

Arrests Made as Massive Brawls Involving Hundreds Break Out at Malls Across US on the Day After Christmas

Watch Video

Multiple people, including teenagers, were arrested Monday as massive brawls erupted at more than a dozen malls all over the country in what proved to be a chaotic day for shoppers as they looked to score deals on the day after Christmas.

Some of the mayhem was captured on social media. The chaos prevented some shoppers from grabbing clothes off clearance racks and returning gifts.

The mall incidents, which ranged from minor melees to mass evacuations, occurred from Colorado to Tennessee and Texas to New Jersey. Here’s what happened at eight of those malls.

Aurora, Colorado

It all started with a social media post that promised a fight at the Town Center at Aurora.

Aurora Police Department spokesman Sgt. Chris Amsler said about 100 people had gathered in the food court before the brawls broke out — prompting the Colorado mall to close early on Monday afternoon..

“(It) kind of morphed into this large disturbance,” Amsler said.

When off-duty police officers working as security guards tried to break up a fight, people circled the officers, who called for backup, Amsler said.

As police officers on duty arrived, fights broke out throughout the mall, at a movie theater and at a nearby park-and-ride lot, he said.

He estimated 500 people were involved. Authorities arrested five people, all juveniles, and recovered no weapons, he said. One person assaulted at the park-and-ride lot suffered “significant” injuries and was taken to a hospital, Amsler said.

Watch Video

Aurora, Illinois

In Aurora, Illinois, seven juveniles were taking into custody Monday evening after police received a call for assistance at Fox Valley Mall “due to an unruly crowd in the common area,” police said.

Moments after the call, a fight broke out in the food court area and those were followed by several other smaller altercations, police said.

The brawl forced evacuations and the mall closed. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Manchester, Connecticut

Seven people were arrested, including five juveniles, after several fights involving hundreds of teen broke out around the same time at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills  in Manchester, according to KTLA sister station WTIC in Hartford.

Officers responded to a disturbance involving between eight to 10 teenagers in the mall around 5:30 p.m., police said. After they broke up the initial fight, several hundred teens at various other locations in the mall began fighting, the station reported.

Raekwon Gaines, 20, and Solomon Wilson-Frame, 21, were both arrested on suspicion of second-degree breach of peace. Wilson-Frame also faced a first-degree charge of criminal trespass and interfering with an officer.

Two 15-year-olds, two 16-years-olds and a 14-year-old were also taken into custody and faced various charges including second-degree breach of peace, first-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer.

The mall closed three hours early following the fights. The mall said in a statement released to WTIC that the shopping center would reopen Tuesday.

Memphis, Tennessee

In Memphis, Tennessee, seven people were arrested after incidents at two malls, CNN affiliate WMCA reported.

Police said a group started a disturbance in the Wolfchase Galleria food court and started running, which prompted some customers to call 911, WMCA said.

Then a crowd gathered outside Oak Court Mall, about 10 miles west, and started a disturbance, WMCA said. Both malls were cleared and closed early for the night.

Shots were reported in both incidents, but police said they found no evidence of gunfire, WMCA said.

No injuries were reported, CNN affiliate WATN said.

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Loud sounds kicked off a wave of panic at Hamilton Place Mall, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Several people were pushed to the ground as shoppers rushed to exit the mall, police said.

Officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of "shots fired," but the sounds turned out to be fireworks.

"Our investigation concluded that it was perpetrated a group of individuals who were setting off fireworks, possibly to coverup the actions of a shoplifting crime," the Chattanooga Police Department said in a statement.

Minor injuries were reported after the incident.

Police have descriptions of the suspects involved in this incident and video footage, the statement said.

Fayetteville, North Carolina

In Fayetteville, North Carolina, people panicked after teenagers fought in the food court, Fayetteville police spokesman Shawn Strepay told CNN affiliate WRAL. No shots were fired, despite reports of gunfire, Strepay said.

"Once people start running in that area or chairs are getting knocked over, tables, that sort of thing, that echoes and it could resemble the sound of a gunshot to a lot of people," he said.

Elizabeth, New Jersey

The first calls from the The Mills at Jersey Gardens came in just after nightfall Monday. Witnesses said they thought they had heard shots fired. That, along with a fight, led to what Elizabeth police Officer Greg Jones described as a "chaotic panic and everybody running all at once."

Ultimately, though, patrons had mistaken the sound of a chair slammed during a fight for gunfire, city officials told CNN affiliate News 12 New Jersey. Two people, an 8-year-old and 12-year-old, were injured, the station reported.

Fort Worth, Texas

The security guards had no other choice but to place the Hulen Mall on lockdown. At one point, police told CNN affiliate KTVT, at least 100 people were involved in a series of fights.

Fort Worth Police spokeswoman Tamara Velle said officers initially responded to reported gunfire inside the mall. After breaking up the fights, officers stopped by each store to let people leave while the lockdown remained in effect, KTVT reported.

There were no reported injures or property damage -- thanks in large part to local police, Kelle said.

"You keep hearing the horror stories of the mall shootings across the nations right now," Velle told KTVT. "Anytime we're hearing about a mall shooting and it's the day after Christmas, (where) you have tons of people holiday shopping ... we're going to get in there as fast as we can."

Beachwood, Ohio

Shortly after sunset, a large-scale disturbance broke out at Beachwood Place Mall, in Beachwood, Ohio.

An initial report of gunfire was quickly found to be false by police.

"One male juvenile was arrested for attempting to strike an officer that was dealing with another disorderly patron," Beachwood police said in a statement.

Beachwood police, officers from nearby jurisdictions and mall security were able to disperse the juveniles and remove them from the mall, police said in a statement. Beachwood Police Capt. Gary Haba told CNN that pepper spray was used to disperse a large crowd at one point.

The disturbance appears "to have been loosely organized on social media," the statement said.

Beachwood mall was re-opened and there were no injuries or other arrests.

Brawls Breaks Out Between Hundreds of Teens at Malls in Colorado, Connecticut; Shopping Centers Across Country Evacuated After Fighting Incidences

Disturbances that included gunfire, massive brawls and food-court fights played out at more than a dozen malls across the country in what proved to be a chaotic day after Christmas.

The disturbances, some of which were captured on social media, prevented some shoppers from clearing off clearance racks and returning Christmas gifts as they intended.

The mall incidents, which ranged from minor melees to mass evacuations, occurred nationwide from Colorado to Tennessee, Texas to New Jersey. Here’s what happened at seven of those malls.

Aurora, Colorado

It all started with a social media post that promised a fight at the Town Center at Aurora.

Manchester, Connecticut

Eight people were arrested after several fights broke out at once at a mall in the small Hartford County town, with hundreds of teens involved, Manchester Police Captain Christopher Davis told KTLA sister station WTIC in Hartford.

Officers had responded to what they believed was eight to 10 teens fighting in the Shoppes at Buckland Hills to find much more widespread violence.

"Because it was such a chaotic situation with hundreds of people inside the mall, a request for mutual aid assistance was put out to surrounding jurisdictions," Davis told the station.

No weapons were used in the fights and the incidences did not appear to be gang-related, police said.

Quiktrip hires security at some stations to combat 'sliders'

Some South Fulton county residents get an early Christmas gift from QuikTrip.

The nationwide gasoline chain has agreed to hire armed police officers at two south Fulton County locations. The Fulton Industrial Boulevard store and the Union City Store on Hwy 138 will now have armed security guards beginning Thursday.

RELATED: 'Sliders' is name given to thieves at gas pump

The enhanced security is due in part to the grassroots effort of some south Fulton County residents who formed an anti-crime task force back in October. They have written dozens of emails, met with police and even threatened a boycott of the gas stations that won't address the crime issue.

"Our next step was to launch a stay away boycott; however, Fulton PD called us yesterday and said QT would hire armed police officers not only for this location, but the location in Union City," organizer Helen Willis said.

The group had demanded QT add armed police officers to their security plan after documenting 47 crimes of burglary, robbery, motor vehicle thefts and thefts from motor vehicles.

Mike Thornbrogh of QT said the company monitors all of its gas stations around the clock and can even hear what is going on inside the stations.

South Fulton County residents said with this added security they hope robbers and sliders find somewhere else to go.

Gross security guard jerking off

Absolutely the last thing you want to see on Facebook or YouTube is a video of one of your guards apparently masturbating in front of thousands of fans during a professional football game.  But that's exactly what it looks like here.  The person appears to be employed by Elite Security Services in San Diego during the recent Chargers versus Raiders game.  I guess he was very excited to be there directly in front of the cheerleaders.

Elite posted the following message on their website at www.eliteserviceusa.com about the incident.

Public memorial for colorful NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager

The life of beloved NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager will be celebrated Tuesday during a public memorial service in Marietta.

Sager passed away last Thursday following a two-year battle with leukemia. He was 65-years-old.

A public memorial will take place at 11 a.m. at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. Sager, known as much for his charismatic interviews as for his outrageous wardrobe, requested that everyone wear colorful attire to the celebration.

"Craig Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three decades and he has been a true inspiration to all of us," Turner President David Levy said in a statement. "There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports."

pic.twitter.com/PybrwHSNDh-- TurnerSportsPR (@TurnerSportsPR) December 15, 2016

Sager, who worked basketball games for TNT for nearly a quarter-century, revealed in March 2016 that his leukemia was no longer in remission. He said doctors told him the typical prognosis was three to six months to live.

Sager first announced in April 2014 that he had been diagnosed with leukemia, and he missed the playoffs and much of the following season as he underwent two bone marrow transplants.

His battle with cancer brought out the soft side of Gregg Popovich, the prickly San Antonio Spurs coach with whom he had many memorable exchanges during in-game interviews.

Sager sported suits in every color of the rainbow and plenty of shades not found in nature, from teal to fuchsia to magenta. He would match plaid blazers with paisley ties or striped shirts -- all in bold hues.

Kevin Garnett once told him to burn an entire outfit. In a 2016 interview with HBO's "Real Sports," Sager recalled how Popovich reproached him for trying to stand out. Sager explained to him: "Coach, you don't understand. If I'm not wearing bright colors and if I don't feel lively, it's not me."

Sometimes lost in the glare of his wardrobe was Sager's relentless nature as a reporter. Every time Popovich would give a terse non-answer, an unfazed Sager would pepper him with another question.

During the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend, Popovich described Sager as "an iconic figure in the NBA."

"He does a great job," the coach added. "His sense of humor is obvious. We have a lot of fun going back and forth with that."

Sager's persistence was on display at the start of his career, when the 22-year-old found himself in the middle of one of the most famous moments in sports history. Making $95 a week in 1974 as the news director at WSPB -- a Braves-affiliated AM radio station in Sarasota, Florida -- Sager risked getting fired by deciding to hop a flight to Atlanta for a game with Hank Aaron a home run away from breaking Babe Ruth's career record.

With a last-minute credential, Sager was stuck in the third-base photographers' well. As the historic homer sailed out of the park, Sager, without thinking, sprinted onto the field and wound up chasing Aaron down the third-base line. When Aaron's teammates mobbed him at home plate, Sager can be seen in his trench coat in the middle of the scrum.

The next day, Sager caught a 5 a.m. flight to Sarasota to be back in time for his morning drive responsibilities, and his tapes from the game wound up in Cooperstown.

During his career, Sager would work as a reporter on the Olympics, Major League Baseball playoffs, NFL and NCAA Tournament, among other sports. But he was indelibly connected to the NBA.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver released the following statement regarding the passing of Craig Sager pic.twitter.com/vvayZfy7Re-- NBA (@NBA) December 15, 2016

"Craig was as vital to the NBA as the players and coaches," NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. "A true original and an essential voice on Turner Sports' NBA coverage for 26 seasons, Craig chronicled some of the most memorable moments in league history and was a ubiquitous presence with his splashy suits and equally colorful personality. Craig earned widespread respect for his insightful reporting and inspired so many most recently with his courage."

His popularity around the sport was evident as he went through his cancer treatments.

Sager got to cover his first NBA Finals in 2016 through an unusual arrangement between TNT and ESPN, which invited him to join its coverage. He marked the occasion by wearing a blazer with a royal blue floral print. In an interview with LeBron James after Game 6, the Cavaliers star turned the tables to giddily ask Sager a question: "How in the hell do you go 30-plus years without getting a Finals game?"

I hope they have more wacky jackets than you could ever possibly wear up there. Thank you for the memories my friend. pic.twitter.com/M82dpCnLdv-- Sir CC (@CavsSirCC) December 15, 2016

Bulls star Dwyane Wade also sold paisley ties during the 2016 playoffs to raise money to combat blood cancers.

Earlier that season, Sager called the support he received from Silver, coaches, players and fans "humbling."

"It's been very uplifting, very therapeutic," he said.

And Sager loved everything about his job.

"I try to get there three hours before the game, talk with the ushers and the security guards, the coaches and the fans," Sager said in 2015.

Sager was in Dallas for a game in April 2014 when he felt ill and sought treatment from Mavericks team physician Dr. Tarek O. Souryal, who had previously performed Sager's knee surgery. With a dangerously low hemoglobin count, Sager had six blood transfusions over a 24-hour period before returning to Atlanta.

Reaction of Sager's death flooded in on social media Thursday afternoon:

Turner: Colorful NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager, 65, dies

Craig Sager, the longtime NBA sideline reporter famous for his flashy suits and probing questions, has died after a batter with cancer, Turner Sports announced Thursday. He was 65.
